IMPLEMENTASI PENDIDIKAN MULTIKULTURAL BAGI PEMBANGUNAN JEMAAT GMIT NAZARET OEEKAM
Abstract
The importance of multicultural education in church life is an important part of educational dimension in congregational development. A right understanding of the diversity and differences that exist within the congregation and in the church environment can shape the character and attitude of the congregation that is tolerant and respectful of everyone. This research will discuss how multicultural education within the GMIT Nazaret Oeekam congregation can contribute to congregational life both within the church and in wider society. The research method used is a descriptive qualitative method with a type of evaluation of the results of the implementation of the multicultural education program carried out by the church. Through multicultural education in the congregation, both informally within the family and church programs, there are positive developments in religious tolerance and opportunities to express one's culture without having to denigrate other people's cultures. Mutual respect for existing differences creates a more peaceful and tolerant congregational life.
