MOTIVASI DAN EMOSIONAL BERPERAN PENTING DALAM PEMBELAJARAN PENDIDIKAN BAGI PESERTA DIDIK
Abstract
This study aims to deeply examine the role of motivation and emotions in the educational learning process for students. The method used in this study is a qualitative approach with a literature review, collecting data from various relevant sources regarding theories of motivation, emotions, and their impact in the educational context. This study identifies two main types of motivation: intrinsic and extrinsic motivation, both of which significantly influence the level of engagement and academic achievement of students. Intrinsic motivation, related to personal interest and satisfaction in learning activities, has enhanced concentration and perseverance. On the other hand, extrinsic motivation, which relates to external factors such as rewards or recognition, also supports the achievement of learning goals. However, its impact may vary depending on the context. Furthermore, this study highlights the importance of emotional aspects in learning, where the emotional condition of students both positive emotions such as excitement and self-confidence, and negative ones such as anxiety or stress can affect their ability to process information and interact with the learning material. Unstable emotional conditions can disrupt focus and perception of the learning material, while healthy and well-managed emotions can improve learning effectiveness. This study concludes that well-managed motivation, both intrinsic and extrinsic, and proper emotional management, play a crucial role in creating a more effective and conducive learning environment for students. Therefore, teachers have a very important role in designing learning experiences that can inspire and motivate students, while also identifying and addressing emotional factors that may hinder the learning process. The implications of this study suggest the need for a more holistic approach in designing learning strategies, by considering the emotional and motivational needs of students to improve the overall quality of education.
