KOMPETENSI PEDAGOGIK GURU AGAMA TERHADAP PERILAKU MORAL PESERTA DIDIK DI PERGURUAN KRISTEN METHODIST INDONESIA (PKMI) TELUK PULAI-PANIPAHAN
Abstract
Teachers are educators according to Law 14/2005 concerning Teachers and lecturers having 4 competencies namely educator competencies; social; professional and personality. This study focuses on the competence of religious educators on the moral behavior of students at PKMI.
Psychologist Jean Piaget in the theory of cognitive development and Lawrence Kholberg on moral development said that a person's moral behavior is associated with his cognitive abilities. Teacher pedagogic competence is related to teacher readiness in terms of cognitive knowledge that is transformed in students which has an impact on students' moral behavior. What is the formulation of the problem so that the pedagogical competence of religious teachers can have an impact on the moral behavior of students? This study uses a Mix Method Sequential Exploratory research, data instruments with observation, unguided interviews, and questionnaires.
The results of the study prove that there is a positive impact on the pedagogical competence of Christian teachers on the morale of students at PKMI Teluk Pulai-Panipahan. It is proven that teacher pedagogic competence influences the moral behavior of students. The results of the teacher's Pedagogic regression coefficient (Variable X) are 0.576 with a positive value meaning there is no negative sign (-) at 0.576 which means that the teacher's pedagogical competence has a positive impact on student morale (HA).
